Maxi Kleber is to set be re-evaluated in two weeks after suffering an oblique strain, the Los Angeles Lakers announced on Tuesday.
Kleber suffered the injury early in training camp and played in just one preseason game for the Lakers.
“I was very frustrated,” Kleber said about the injury. “I put in a lot of work to have something happen like that. But you can’t always control everything. All I can do is put in the work and do my best.”
Kleber averaged 3.0 points and 2.8 rebounds for the Mavs last season.
The Lakers remain without LeBron James and Adou Thiero to open the season.
